When the annual fall TV slaughter claimed “Moonlight” as one of its victims, there was “an insane reaction,” as one reporter at the TCA press tour put it, from fans of the show. (Vampires are cool, but don’t mess with the people who love them!)

CBS Entertainment President Nina Tassler didn’t offer much consolation: “Well, everybody knows I love vampires, witches, werewolves, warlocks -- I love them all.”

But she said of “Moonlight’s” cancellation, “I don't question the choice we made. I'm not getting as much mail, and most of those comments were actor-centric.”

Actor-centric? I’m not sure what difference that makes, a fan is a fan, whether they are obsessed with the character Mick St. John or the actor who plays him, Alex O’Loughlin.

So when asked if CBS would like to work with O’Loughlin again on a different show, Tassler said, “Sure. We’d love to.”

I’m sure fans would love that too, perhaps just on a different network.

Take a look at a slideshow of our picks for the Best Canceled TV Shows. Is yours in there?

Sighhhhhhhhh , being a vampire myself and 732 years old, i was learning a lot from the show, the neat way of finding quality blood, etc. Mick and Beth had my attention from the start along with the supporting cast of characters, this is one vampire that hopes you will consider bringing it back on!!!! VAMPIRES RULEEEE :smileysurprised:

body I can't believe there are only 11 comments on here, unfortunately this is why shows like this get cancelled. People complain, but not to the source ...

And the "Big 3" networks wonder why the viewership is shrinking! There is so much CRAP on "free" tv these days, the good shows never get a chance. It would be nice to see some executives not cower for their jobs and grow a pair once in a while as in the past (Sienfeld, Friends, etc...).

I guess it is "all about the Benjamin’s" and not about quality anymore!

body I watch very little network television because there's not much worth watching, but I NEVER missed Moonlight! I wish CBS would listen to viewers and bring it back. I will be boycotting CBS to protest their very unenlightened decision.
