When the annual fall TV slaughter claimed “Moonlight” as one of its victims, there was “an insane reaction,” as one reporter at the TCA press tour put it, from fans of the show. (Vampires are cool, but don’t mess with the people who love them!)
CBS Entertainment President Nina Tassler didn’t offer much consolation:
“Well, everybody knows I love vampires, witches, werewolves, warlocks -- I love them all.”
But she said of “Moonlight’s” cancellation, “I don't question the choice we made. I'm not getting as much mail, and most of those comments were actor-centric.”
Actor-centric? I’m not sure what difference that makes, a fan is a fan, whether they are obsessed with the character Mick St. John or the actor who plays him, Alex O’Loughlin.
So when asked if CBS would like to work with O’Loughlin again on a different show, Tassler said, “Sure. We’d love to.”
I’m sure fans would love that too, perhaps just on a different network.
Take a look at a slideshow of our picks for the Best Canceled TV Shows. Is yours in there?

Alex O’Loughlin back on TV? Which of your favorite shows was canceled?
