The Rules: Each week, “Survivor: Gabon” alumni and former Onion Alliance kingpin Charlie Herschel and your beloved “Survivor” recapper Gordon Holmes will create separate power rankings. The ranking of the person who is voted out of that Thursday’s episode will determine the amount of points the two combatants will earn. For example, if Sierra is voted out this week, Charlie will receive 7 points and Gordon will receive 14 points. At the end of the season, the person with the most points will be named the “Survivor: Tocantins” Power Rankings Challenge Champion.

A side bet was proposed where the loser would get a tattoo of Jessica “Sugar” Kiper on his forehead, but Charlie wisely declined.

Betting on the “Survivor: Tocantins” Power Rankings Challenge is strictly prohibited and somewhat foolish as Gordon is clearly going to win.

Tyson: From what I can gather out of Timbira, everybody loves Tyson. He might be in trouble after the merge, but for now he’s super safe.

2

--

Stephen: The best buddy of the alpha-male leader? Who used that tactic? Oh yes, Charlie from Gabon. JT will go before Stephen, and JT isn't going anywhere.

3

--

Deb: Some people may think that Deb's an easy target, but she's proved her loyalty to Coach. If they're going to get rid of her, they're going to have to get rid of Timbira's guru first.

4

--

Coach: Do I think Coach has a chance of winning “Survivor?” No. Do I think the strength of his bonds with Debra and the rest of his tribe will keep him around for a while? Definitely.

5

--

JT: Being a strong, likeable, hard worker keeps TJ safe for this round. However, if he slides into a leadership position it could cost him.

6

--

Joe: Ah…what can I say about Joe… Well, not much, because he hasn’t been featured thus far. But, he’s a younger, physically fit guy, so I’ll assume he’s safe till the merge.

7

--

Brendan: I like the game that Brendan's playing, but that lie about what happened at Exile (not an) Island could come back to bite him.

8

--

Taj: I think Taj is very intelligent and was a machine during last week's challenge. However, I worry that the Eddie George connection may eventually cause her trouble.

9

--

Jerry: I like Jerry a lot. However, as I haven't seen much of him, I'm not sure if he's set in the right alliance just yet. I see him and Tyson teaming up for some reason.

10

--

Sydney: Wait, There’s someone named “Sydney” on this show? That’s weird, I don’t remember seeing her.

11

--

Spencer: At nineteen years old, I can't imagine it being too tough to deceive poor Spencer. Somebody with more real world experience is going to eat him up.

12

--

Erinn: Candace claims that Erinn is wearing hair extensions. This may sound silly, but it makes me wonder how seriously Erinn is taking this game.

13

--

Sandy: Oh Sandy, I’m sure you’re very nice, but you still haven’t bonded with your tribe. Let me know how many paces there are between Tribal Council and the final confessional booth.

14

--

Sierra: I don’t think Sierra is playing a bad game, but she’s on the outs with her tribe and I doubt Brendan will save her. And, Coach’s weak performance in the basketball challenge leads me to believe that Timbira may be in for a losing streak.

Brendan: Coach revealed his winning strategy to Brendan on Day 1, Sierra trusted Brendan with the Hidden Idol clue on Day 4 and Brendan has already started fostering a relationship with Taj from the other tribe.  And he is likable and hot.  Dude is going FAR.

2

--

Stephen: Real friendships are important in this game (see Courtney/Todd, Parvati/Amanda).  Stephen has developed the most genuine friendship in the game so far with JT and is the less threatening of the two.  Plus the dude is smart and knows when to shut up.  Was anyone else surprised by his fun abs?

3

--

Taj: People don’t vote you out because you have money, they vote you out because you are a threat.  She doesn’t appear threatening and seems to be in the majority Jalapao alliance (with Stephen, JT, and Joe).

4

--

Tyson: Too much of an asset to get rid, but not too much of a powerhouse to get nervous about.  People seem to look at him as a clown, not a gamer.  But he’s a total gamer.

5

--

Joe: Joe is in the majority alliance and doesn’t appear to be threatening.  So far, he doesn’t appear to be anything.  Joe is the biggest wildcard for me so far.

6

--

Erinn: Erinn looks like she is successful playing all sides — we were tricked into thinking that Erinn was close to Candace right before Erinn happily voted Candace out.  I expect Erinn has more tricking to do.

7

--

Sierra: Sierra is going to get very close to Brendan and she is going to use Coach until he is no longer useful to her…this may just be wishful thinking.  I expect her to stay on her toes and play hard.

8

--

Coach: It will take a bold move to get rid of coach, but it will happen.  No one can actually like this guy.  Although everyone will be nervous to take him out, he’ll constantly be on people’s hit list and eventually the smart players will boot him.

9

--

Jerry: Jerry seems kind of lost and people will probably keep around the non-threatening lost guy.  I think his tribe will blindside him. I don’t think he is going to form a close bond, which will be his demise in a season where there will be a lot of bonds.

10

--

JT: JT is a threat physically and socially.  That means early jury for JT.

11

--

Debra: I get it — she’s positive and energetic…and thinks Coach is the cat’s meow.  No one should put any eggs in Coach’s basket.  That’s just dumb.

12

--

Spencer: Spencer is like JT, but doesn’t have the numbers and doesn’t have Stephen. He has…Sandy?!?  Probably not such a good idea!

13

--

Sydney: She’s stunning and nice but sadly doesn’t appear to be in the majority alliance and doesn’t seem to have anything else going for her in this game.   I think she is going to wish she had tried to keep Carolina at some point.  I think she’ll be a victim of numbers.

14

--

Sandy: Sandy made it through the first two weeks and people may start looking to vote out bigger threats now that it feels like the game is starting.  Unfortunately, I don’t think she’s gotten into a majority alliance and she is too crazy to take seriously.
