Whether it’s graduating, moving out, getting married or becoming a mom— when we reach a milestone in life, we are undeniably transformed. We'll never be quite the same once we're on the other side. See how some of our favorite stars have changed as they've hit major milestones of their own recently.

Taylor Swift is a singing superstar who travels all over the world. But recently, Taylor's reached a new level of maturity—she just told Oprah that she’s taking a step towards independence by moving out of her parent’s house and getting her own place. It’s no accident that she’s dressing more sophisticated at the same time. We’re loving her new grown-up style.

Another star making a life changing transition is baby-faced Emma Watson. This fall Emma headed to Brown University to be a part of the class of 2013. She says she just wants to be a "regular freshman". That might be a little difficult, considering she also happens to be the new fresh face of Burberry—a far cry from her well-worn Hogwarts uniform.

Pregnancy is definitely a transformative milestone. Remember Nicole Richie's scandalous escapades with best-buddy Paris a few years ago? When Nicole became “mom” to Harlow in January 2008 she said good-bye to her club-hopping days and questionable fashion choices. She’s even designing a line of sophisticated and tasteful maternity clothes. Supermodel Gisele barely let a week go by in between announcing she was pregnant and becoming a UN Environmental Ambassador. Hey, it worked for Angelina, right?

Facing adversity and conquering it can be a cleansing milestone, too. Anne Hathaway gracefully faced the public eye after an embarrassing split from a boyfriend who turned out to be a con artist. Fergie spoke to the Times of London about how, after a difficult struggle with drugs, she kicked her bad habits and settled down with husband Josh Duhamel.

Marriage milestones certainly have a way of setting a person on a new course. Just think how many brides-to-be drop weight and take care of themselves in preparation for their big day, sometimes for the first time in their lives. And speaking of brides-to-be. . . we recently caught up with the host of We TV’s "My Fair Wedding", David Tutera, to ask him for his top three wedding tips. Check out the episode to see what he says. And you can see more of David Sundays on We at 10pm.
