The list of people in this world who can actually say what's on their mind is constantly dwindling. In fact, we may be down to two:

Charles Barkley and Ozzie Guillen.

Well Ozzie is at it again, this time talking about the dip in attendance this year for the White Sox. The Chicago Tribune has the story:
After Cubs manager Lou Piniella pointed out the spike in attendance from 22,000 when the Dodgers faced the White Sox last week to a full house when the Cubs visited U.S. Cellular Field this weekend, Sox manager Ozzie Guillen was asked why attendance was so low for the Dodgers series.

"Because our fans are not stupid like Cubs fans," Guillen said. "They know we're [expletive]."

Guillen said Cubs fans will watch any game at Wrigley Field because "Wrigley Field is just a bar."

Your Feedback

What do you think of Ozzie calling out Cubs fans? Don't you want fans who show up, win or lose? Sound off here.

body Who cares what Ozzie thinks? He was a victim of the hidden ball trick three times in his career. Who is he to call anybody stupid.
Doesn't the think before he speaks? Can't he speak without swearing? Can't he make a point without saying something stupid?
Ozzie is an embarrassment to his family and his organization.

body The White Sox fans are like the fans in California. I lived in Los Angeles and San Francisco. The California sports fan will only support their team when they are winning. Just like the White Sox fans. They are fair-weather fans. Ozzie and the White Sox fans are jealous because more their are more Cubs fans in Chicago.

body Ozzie obviously forgets about typical Sox fans like William Ligue. Remember him? He's the guy who, along with his son, jumped on the field and started beating up Kansas City first-base coach Tom Gamboa. I am sure Ozzie is proud to call Ligue and son great Sox fans.

body At least the Cubs never threw a world series that almost destroyed baseball.
None of the "Black Sox" should ever be considered for the Hall-of-Fame. The Hall of Shame is suitable for those crooks.

body Isn't every sporting venue a bar? If I remember right, didn't US Cellular Bar and Grill host "Drunken Father and Son Kick the Crap out of Kansas City Royals First Base Coach Night" a few years back. I guess alcohol didn't play a factor in that one. Go Cubs!

body I would not say Cub fans are stupid. Sox fans are discriminating. Sox fans do not support the team by spending money at the ballpark if they are mediocre or losing, the Sox must put a winning team on the field. I love the Sox no matter what...but I cannot afford to suport the team when they are losing. Many Cub fans will come out to the party whether the Cubs win or lose. I went to a Cubs game recently and many of the fans around me were not even watching the game. Ozzie was saying what he thought, he does not always think of the ramifications of what he says. By the way, the girls are good looking at Wrigley...just ask the camera men who are constantly panning the crowd instead of watching the game.
