Click on Manny to read the whole story. What would a baseball season be without a Manny Ramirez incident? In the latest episode, Manny reportedly got upset with Boston's traveling secretary over a ticket request and shoved him to the ground.

The Providence Journal is reporting that Ramirez pulled a "Shawn Chacon" on Red Sox employee Jack McCormick when he told Manny that he may not be able to get him 16 tickets for Saturday night's game.

Ramirez responded by shouting: "Just do your job!"

The two men then wound up in a physical altercation and Ramirez knocked the traveling secretary off his feet. Later, behind closed doors, Manny apologized to McCormick, who accepted the gesture.

According to the Journal, no further disciplinary action is expected against Ramirez.

On Sunday, Ramirez said of the incident: "That's over. We're fine now."

Added McCormick: "It was an unfortunate misunderstanding and it's over with as far as I'm concerned."

Good thing McCormick didn't suggest the Red Sox switch to cotton uniforms.

Is this latest Manny incident a big deal? Read the entire Providence Journal article and add your own comment here.

body Of course Ramarez should be suspended , batting skills or not. In any business climate he would be fired for any such altercation with another employee. Enough with this guy, he is one ignorant s.o.b that is the worse kind of example for our young. The Red Sox are better then this.

body I am not surprised. Another example of how the rules do not apply if you are a very good player. It happens in high school so why shouldn't it happen here. If Chacon was a young Nolan Ryan he would still be around. How many times did teams put up with Randy Johnson's shananigins. I am sorry to say that it will never change, Micheal Vick will probably get a job after prison.

body Ramirez and the Red Sox are pathetic. Just look at the players. There is no discipline with this organization. They look like a bunch of dirt balls. They don't shave, don't cut their hair, wear uniforms 3x bigger than the average Joe. This is just another incident that proves that the players run the team and not the Manager and front office. How much did they pay this secretary to not press charges???

body It's not something that happened on the field, his playing time shouldn't be affected. People have arguments and scuffles all the time in any office setting/situation, it shouldn't be made a big deal just because it's Manny.

body We don't even know all the details to make stupid assumptions about paying anyone off or breaking rules. The secretary could've said something rude back, Manny is human, in nowhere in their contract does it say they need to be on perfect behavior. They are ball players, not white collar stiffs like the Stankees think they are. This is what is so cool about MY Red Sox, that make them so likeable, their in a league of their own, obviously it's working.

body That is what's wrong with America. Grab your testicles guys. When you got in trouble, your parents spanked you. Man up. This country is so left wing its pathetic. Ballplayers are ballplayers. Mr. Roger was a sniper. That is the way of the world. Stop being so soft. If that guy popped off on Chacon then he deserved to get his block knocked off. Manny and the dude got in a disagreement. This isn't a tea party. People don't like Manny because he doesn't take a lot of crap and speaks his mind. Half of these negative posts are no doubt from Yankees. The others by people who took arms around their trees long enough to type a quick boo hoo. Baseball is baseball and pitchers do intentionally hits batters and men are still men. Thank God.
