Click on Manny to read the whole story. What would a baseball season be without a Manny Ramirez incident? In the latest episode, Manny reportedly got upset with Boston's traveling secretary over a ticket request and shoved him to the ground.

The Providence Journal is reporting that Ramirez pulled a "Shawn Chacon" on Red Sox employee Jack McCormick when he told Manny that he may not be able to get him 16 tickets for Saturday night's game.

Ramirez responded by shouting: "Just do your job!"

The two men then wound up in a physical altercation and Ramirez knocked the traveling secretary off his feet. Later, behind closed doors, Manny apologized to McCormick, who accepted the gesture.

According to the Journal, no further disciplinary action is expected against Ramirez.

On Sunday, Ramirez said of the incident: "That's over. We're fine now."

Added McCormick: "It was an unfortunate misunderstanding and it's over with as far as I'm concerned."

Good thing McCormick didn't suggest the Red Sox switch to cotton uniforms.

Is this latest Manny incident a big deal? Read the entire Providence Journal article and add your own comment here.

body Seems as if this is breaking down along Yankee vs: Red Sox lines. As if those are the only two teams in the world. Well here's a news flash for you: a lot of the rest of the world could give a rip about your rivalry and the petty bickering between your cities fans. So get over yourselves.

Now as to whether Manny should be fined or penalized; If the organization hasn't paid off their secretary then I suspect that in time the full story will come out and some lawyer, somewhere will go after the opportunity to make a huge payday like a junkyard dog after a t-bone. Manny has gotten away with behavior deemed unacceptable in most circles except the good ol' boy network of million dollar atheletes. Poor example to our kids.

body Imus is right! What color is he? Every time you turn around, some over paid minority whose mind hasn't left the getto yet is commiting a criminal act somewhere! The white jocks can be just as stupid, but their gaffs are rarely criminal! Tank Johnson,Robbie Benson, Michael Vick,"Con Man" Jones, Shawn Chacon,Manny Ramirez, need I go on? Imus was right! But so was Jimmy the Greek!

body It's no big deal. Who cares if they have long hair and their uniforms don't fit? Oh, that's right...Yankee fans. God forbid a Yankee has long hair or facial hair. (BTW, is Giambi's moustache a glue-on job?) The public spends way too much time worrying about this kind of stuff. It's not news, it's just filler.

body I like how something stupid like this (which is probably getting blown out of proportion because of who it is) cause remarks like "they're all a bunch of dirt bags, the players run the team, etc...." In reality, people who actually have a clue know that the team owners and management have no problem with appearance. It's what gives them their relaxed atmosphere, unlike being on some military team where you have to have hair a cetain length and no facial hair and whatever. In the 2004 playoffs a number of players went chrome dome and Theo Epstein joined them. That's camaraderie

body By the way, I'm no Yankee fan nor a tree hugger.

And for the posters who think it was just an argument and that those things happen all the time or make comments such as no big deal; Manny is just proving he's a thug, an over-paid bully. Being a "man" doesn't include any of the above behaviors.
