There are probably many of you wondering what becomes of the Beatles music now that Michael Jackson has passed. Some of you may have heard that Michael Jackson bequeathed the Beatles catalogue to Paul McCartney. That would be wrong. Paul writes on his website:
"Some time ago, the media came up with the idea that Michael Jackson was going to leave his share in the Beatles songs to me in his will which was completely made up and something I didn’t believe for a second."
He goes on to add that he is not devastated that this myth didn't materialize and that he and Jackson were still on friendly terms and that he has 'fond memories of [their] time together.'

body This is a tough one. Musically I think it would've been the right thing to give it back to McCartney, and I can remember the stories of how upset he was when it was sold to Jackson. However, financially, it's beneficial to keep it for his children.

body Sir Paul should break open his piggy bank and buy the music catalog back at the fair market price. He would be leaving his children a priceless treasure and also help Michael Jackson's children future financial security.

body TO ME, IT MAKES ME SICK TO KNOW NOW HOW MICHAEL DIE. DID NOT LEARN FROM ELVIS ABOUT HOW EASY IT IS TO GET DRUGS FROM HIGH CLASS **bleep**----- LIKE THE DOCTORS THEY BOTH HAD. AS FOR THE BEATLES SONGS ,SELL THEM FOR MICHAEL KIDS.

body I am a big Beatle fan, but Paul had his chance to purchase the catalog , but didnt want to step on Yoko's toes ....so in life you snoose you loose ... AND THATS HOW IT GOES.The songs now belong to the Jackson Estate ...as long as paul can sing them live in concert im o.k.
