Latino Review has the details on the fourth installment in the “Beverly Hills Cop” series slated to be released in 2010.

Michael Brandt and Derek Haas, the screenwriting team behind Angelina Jolie’s “Wanted,” are writing the newest “Beverly Hills Cop,” which finds Axel Foley back in action 15 years later. Why? His former partner, the goofy Billy Rosewood (Judge Reinhold), has just jumped off a 20-story building and Axel refuses to believe that he would have committed suicide. Hell-bent on finding his friend’s killers, Axel returns to the hills of Beverly. He is joined by a wacky chauffeur and a new partner with bad self-esteem and a non-existent love life.

According to Latino Review, Eddie Murphy is not too jazzed on the new storyline. Maybe it’s because the wise-cracking Axel fans know and love is nowhere to be found and has become “pretty much a Terminator in this movie?” Read the full review of the script here. Watch the trailer for "Beverly Hills Cop 2" below:

***What do you think? Should they make another “Beverly Hills Cop”? If so, would you change the story or keep it the same? Click here to comment!

body How sad it has been to watch a truely gifted actor's career dwindle away. I would suggest you leave a classic like BHC alone. It already has two sub par sequels and really doesn't need another. Although I am sure everyone is holding their breath for Norbit 2 or another one of those clever talking animal/fat scientist movies, I myself would love to see the guy back on the stage doing what he does best. "You don't got no ice creammmmmm! Wanna lick?"

body I do not like this story line. It should be changed. Keep all the original characters from the BH2 movie. New storyline: A drug cartel smuggling drugs in for cash and weapons. There's a leak in the department helping those drugs get in and axel foley discovers who it is, a beautiful lutinent in the precinct. Axel and cop team plot how to catch her and drug cartel and a good shootout at the end. How about that? Am I a good writer?

body Please no more I can't take it. Indiana Jones and now this! Beverly Hills Cop holds great childhood memories for me and now it will come back and dissapoint me in my adult years. NO ROSEWOOD? I mean too late to introduce new characters. The BHC franchise was based on three characters not just Axl. Please don't Eddie Please.

body Yes, I think that they should make a Beverly Hills Cop 4,
with lots of action and suspense. And a little less foul language, so the entire family can enjoy the movie.
