Anna Nicole Smith’s Exes Head to Court over Alleged Affair

The untimely death of Anna Nicole Smith caused a tsunami of media coverage, but the obsession with the former Playboy playmate’s passing and the related drama had settled down….until now.
Inside the pages of "Blonde Ambition,” a book published in 2007 about Smith’s death by TV journalist Rita Crosby, were claims of a secret relationship between Howard K. Stern and Larry Birkhead.
Stern filed a $60 million libel lawsuit less than a month after the book was published in September 2007 and today, U.S. District Judge Denny Chin has decided to allow a jury to hear the facts behind case saying the accusations are "Nothing short of explosive.”
The judge went on to say, "printing a claim that Birkhead and Stern had sex would be a way to make it to the top of the bestseller list, and a reasonable jury could find that Cosby ignored the inherently improbable nature of the statement in her zeal to write a blockbuster book."
Stern, Anna’s lawyer and ex-boyfriend, and Birkhead, the father of her young daughter, both deny claims of an affair.
