bodyThe Rules:
Each week, “Survivor: Gabon” alumni and former Onion Alliance kingpin
Charlie Herschel and your beloved “Survivor” recapper Gordon Holmes
will create separate power rankings. The ranking of the person who is
voted out of that Thursday’s episode will determine the amount of
points the two combatants will earn. For example, if Sierra is voted
out this week, Charlie will receive 7 points and Gordon will receive
14 points. At the end of the season, the person with the most points
will be named the “Survivor: Tocantins” Power Rankings Challenge
Champion.
A side bet was proposed where the loser would get a tattoo of Jessica “Sugar” Kiper on his forehead, but Charlie wisely declined.
Betting on the “Survivor: Tocantins” Power Rankings Challenge is
strictly prohibited and somewhat foolish as Gordon is clearly going to
win.

Tyson: From
what I can gather out of Timbira, everybody loves Tyson. He might be in
trouble after the merge, but for now he’s super safe.
2
--
Stephen: The
best buddy of the alpha-male leader? Who used that tactic? Oh yes,
Charlie from Gabon. JT will go before Stephen, and JT isn't going
anywhere.
3
--
Deb: Some
people may think that Deb's an easy target, but she's proved her
loyalty to Coach. If they're going to get rid of her, they're going to
have to get rid of Timbira's guru first.
4
--
Coach:
Do I think Coach has a chance of winning “Survivor?” No. Do I think the
strength of his bonds with Debra and the rest of his tribe will keep
him around for a while? Definitely.
5
--
JT:
Being a strong, likeable, hard worker keeps TJ safe for this round.
However, if he slides into a leadership position it could cost him.
6
--
Joe: Ah…what
can I say about Joe… Well, not much, because he hasn’t been featured thus far. But, he’s a younger, physically fit guy, so I’ll assume he’s safe till the
merge.
7
--
Brendan: I like the game that Brendan's playing, but that lie about what happened at Exile (not an) Island could come back to bite him.
8
--
Taj:
I think Taj is very intelligent and was a machine during last week's
challenge. However, I worry that the Eddie George connection may
eventually cause her trouble.
9
--
Jerry: I
like Jerry a lot. However, as I haven't seen much of him, I'm not sure
if he's set in the right alliance just yet. I see him and Tyson teaming
up for some reason.
10
--
Sydney: Wait, There’s someone named “Sydney” on this show? That’s weird, I don’t remember seeing her.
11
--
Spencer: At
nineteen years old, I can't imagine it being too tough to deceive poor
Spencer. Somebody with more real world experience is going to eat him
up.
12
--
Erinn: Candace
claims that Erinn is wearing hair extensions. This may sound silly, but
it makes me wonder how seriously Erinn is taking this game.
13
--
Sandy: Oh Sandy,
I’m sure you’re very nice, but you still haven’t bonded with your tribe. Let me
know how many paces there are between Tribal Council and the final confessional
booth.
14
--
Sierra: I don’t think Sierra
is playing a bad game, but she’s on the outs with her tribe and I doubt Brendan will save her. And, Coach’s weak
performance in the basketball challenge leads me to believe that Timbira may be
in for a losing streak.

Brendan: Coach
revealed his winning strategy to Brendan on Day 1, Sierra trusted
Brendan with the Hidden Idol clue on Day 4 and Brendan has already
started fostering a relationship with Taj from the other tribe. And he
is likable and hot. Dude is going FAR.
2
--
Stephen: Real
friendships are important in this game (see Courtney/Todd,
Parvati/Amanda). Stephen has developed the most genuine friendship in
the game so far with JT and is the less threatening of the two. Plus
the dude is smart and knows when to shut up. Was anyone else surprised
by his fun abs?
3
--
Taj:
People don’t vote you out because you have money, they vote you out
because you are a threat. She doesn’t appear threatening and seems to
be in the majority Jalapao alliance (with Stephen, JT, and Joe).
4
--
Tyson: Too
much of an asset to get rid, but not too much of a powerhouse to get
nervous about. People seem to look at him as a clown, not a gamer.
But he’s a total gamer.
5
--
Joe: Joe
is in the majority alliance and doesn’t appear to be threatening. So
far, he doesn’t appear to be anything. Joe is the biggest wildcard for
me so far.
6
--
Erinn: Erinn looks like she is successful playing all sides — we
were tricked into thinking that Erinn was close to Candace right before
Erinn happily voted Candace out. I expect Erinn has more tricking to
do.
7
--
Sierra:
Sierra is going to get very close to Brendan and she is going to use
Coach until he is no longer useful to her…this may just be wishful
thinking. I expect her to stay on her toes and play hard.
8
--
Coach:
It will take a bold move to get rid of coach, but it will happen. No
one can actually like this guy. Although everyone will be nervous to
take him out, he’ll constantly be on people’s hit list and eventually
the smart players will boot him.
9
--
Jerry: Jerry
seems kind of lost and people will probably keep around the
non-threatening lost guy. I think his tribe will blindside him. I
don’t think he is going to form a close bond, which will be his demise
in a season where there will be a lot of bonds.
10
--
JT: JT is a threat physically and socially. That means early jury for JT.
11
--
Debra:
I get it — she’s positive and energetic…and thinks Coach is the cat’s
meow. No one should put any eggs in Coach’s basket. That’s just dumb.
12
--
Spencer: Spencer is like JT, but doesn’t have the numbers and doesn’t have Stephen. He has…Sandy?!? Probably not such a good idea!
13
--
Sydney: She’s
stunning and nice but sadly doesn’t appear to be in the majority
alliance and doesn’t seem to have anything else going for her in this
game. I think she is going to wish she had tried to keep Carolina at
some point. I think she’ll be a victim of numbers.
14
--
Sandy: Sandy
made it through the first two weeks and people may start looking to
vote out bigger threats now that it feels like the game is starting.
Unfortunately, I don’t think she’s gotten into a majority alliance and
she is too crazy to take seriously.

Ken: Have you ever noticed that Kenny seems to brag when he takes out big guys? Seems like there’s some youthful insecurity peeking out there. He’d better hope big guy Matty doesn’t figure out what happened last week.
Runaround Bob: Alright, there’s one question we need to know the answer to: Who left last Thursday’s tribal council with the idol? If Runaround kept it, the others don’t have a reason to think it’s a fake…
Matty: From what I’ve been hearing, Matty knows that the voter with the big block letters is Kenny. The King of Smash could be in for a rude awakening if Matty could convince Sugar to share her idol.
Susie: If I were a betting man, I’d bet the house that Susie’s going to the final three. As for her winning? I wouldn’t bet a dime. (Comcast.net does not condone betting of any kind.)
Crystal: Crystal may be the only member of her alliance to come out of the fake idol fiasco in good shape. That being said, she still has no chance of taking home the million.
Sugar: America loves Sugar. Unfortunately for her, the jury does not. Lightning would have to strike the other two members of a final three for her to get that money. Even then, Charcus and Corandy would probably give it to Probst.

Ken: At this point a Ken/Crystal/Susie final three looks very likely. If that happens, the jury hates Crystal and doesn’t respect Susie. Ken will find meeting girls a lot easier with a million-dollar check in his pocket.
Matty: For the first time there’s actually a voting alliance in the jury. Marcus, Charlie, Randy, and probably Corinne are going to decide who the million goes to, and if Matty gets to the final three, he’ll probably win.
Susie: Unless
there are any major tribe shake-ups between now and the finale, I
assume Susie will make the final three. That being said, the only two
she could win against are Sugar and Crystal.
Runaround Bob: Being in Sugar’s good graces will keep Runaround Bob around till the final six, after that his best bet is to convince her to use her immunity idol in his favor. But, stabbing Randy in the back could come back to bite him.
Sugar: After speaking with Charlie and Randy, I can’t imagine any of the former Shrekers voting to give Sugar the million. And after seeing Corinne in last week’s recap show, Sugar may be stabbed in the face well before the finale.
Crystal: I’m going to put Crystal and Sugar in the same boat. They could easily make the final three, but I can’t imagine the Onion voting block giving them the million dollars.

Matty: This is a bit of an iffy pick for me, seeing as Matty doesn’t have the political pull that Crystal and Ken have. But, I love the game he’s playing. He’s the most athletic person out there, he hasn’t upset anyone, and he appears to be super close with Ken.
Ken: You’ve gotta give the King of Smash credit, he’s doing an amazing job directing his alliance. Not only that, but people on the outside (like poor Charlie) have no idea that he’s the one pulling the strings.
Crystal: If you’ve been hanging around our chats or message board, you know that Crystal is one of the most hated players ever. This might not bode well for her at the final Tribal Council.
Sugar: Ah…Swing-Vote Sugar. Not quite as much of a moron as Corinne thought. If Sugar can find a way to stick around, she’ll be unbeatable in a final Tribal Council. However, I doubt they'll let her make it that far.
Susie: Honestly, I don’t think very highly of Susie’s game. She’s not likable enough to win any votes at the final Tribal Council. And, I don’t see anyone voting for her out of respect for her strategy.
Runaround Bob: Last week was the first time they actually showed Bob playing the game rather than letting others lead him around. That being said, he may be a little late to that dance.
Corinne: The only thing Corinne has going for her right now is the fact that she has two guaranteed votes in the Finals. Too bad she won’t get anywhere near the Finals without a miracle.
Randy: After Randy’s spirited debate with Crystal at last week’s Tribal Council, I’d imagine his days are numbered. His only hope is getting Randy and Sugar to flip.

Matty: With Crystal, Susie, and Ken on one side and Corinne, Runaround Bob, Randy, and Charlie on the other, Matty and Sugar would be smart to stick with their old Fang buddies. They’d make for better opponents in a final Tribal Council
Crystal:
I’ll give credit where credit is due; Crystal totally played Marcus. I
don’t think Crystal’s been playing a very smart game, but she’s doing
what needs to be done to stick around.
Sugar: The only thing that kept me from putting Sugar in the top spot is her having the hidden immunity necklace. The fact that everyone knows she has it seems to do her more harm than good.
Ken: Week after week, Ken continues to impress. My only concern for him now is; will his lying to Sugar to get her to vote Ace off cause Matty and Sugar to jump to the Shrekies?
Charlie: Despite losing his biggest ally in Marcus, Charlie’s still doing a good job of staying under the radar. His best hope is if the remnants of the Shrekers can convince Sugar and Matty to flip.
Susie: I think Susie’s move was smart for her in that she went from being sixth in the Onion Alliance to fifth or higher in Crystal’s Alliance. That being said, she won’t last long after Corinne stabs her in the face.
Randy: Convincing the players to throw the immunity idol into the ocean was brilliant at the time. Now? Not so much. And seeing as how he’s rubbed so many members of the Super Smash Team the wrong way, he could be in big trouble.
Runaround Bob: Did Runaround Bob do anything to keep Susie from switching sides? Is he even playing the game? I like Bob a lot, but I think his days are numbered.
Corinne: If Susie has any sway with her new alliance, then the lovely Corinne could be next to go. It may be too late for Corinne to make her vow to stay in the game longer than Susie come true.

Charlie: As far as the game goes, we haven’t heard much from Charlie. But, anyone who’s a long-time fan knows that isn’t a bad thing. He’s still my pick to take it.
Randy: Randy smartly joined up with Team Shrek this week, and according to my interview with Dan and Ace, he knows that Crystal is a former Olympian. Can’t wait till he drops that bomb.
Marcus: Marcus may have tipped his hand during the log roll last week. He’s a very serious individual immunity threat, and he let everyone know it. It may have been best to lay off until winning was necessary.
Ken: I can’t underestimate how impressive it was that Ken turned Sugar against Ace. If a merge is next in the cards, Ken could go a long way. He isn’t a physical threat and he’s super persuasive.
Corinne: The reason I stopped keeping the Shrekies in a three-way tie for first is because of Corinne. Turning on Susie last week really showed that she’s willing to let her emotions overcome her strategy.
Susie: Why the stab-in-the-face-worthy Susie over everyone’s buddy Runaround Bob? Because Susie isn’t as loved as Bob, and therefore isn’t a threat to win the final Tribal Council.
Runaround Bob: Runaround Bob is a log-roll champion and there was a log-roll challenge? “Survivor” is fixed! Where was the air hockey challenge when I was out there?
Matty: If a merge is on the horizon, then Matty’s days are numbered. His best bet now is to top Marcus in challenges. Unfortunately Marcus has been well fed, and Crystal’s been throwing Matty’s rice on the floor.
Crystal: OK, I have two big questions when it comes to Crystal: 1. Why is she involved in so many rice-related arguments? 2. Why is Ken so loyal to her?
Sugar: A lot of people are going to disagree with me, but turning on Ace was a big mistake. He protected her and was a bigger target than she was. Now, she has nobody to protect her, and she still has the immunity idol target on her back.
