The event was the work of some mischievous cyber-prankers who distributed this false news report online, according to Popcrunch.com:
“Will Smith was driving his Porsche in the Hollywood Hills earlier today when he suddenly lost control and flipped his car. Paramedics arrived on the scene within minutes but were unable to revive Mr. Smith.”
As the L.A. Times points out, the “Fresh Prince” is just the latest celebrity to be tangled up in an Internet death hoax. Other recent victims have been controversial rapper Kanye West, “Scrubs” star Zach Braff, socialite Paris Hilton and the one and only Tom Cruise.
bodyMegan Fox is the new Angelina Jolie. Well, at least that’s what everyone has been saying since Fox’s chocolate locks, slim frame and piercing gaze melted hearts as she strutted around on the big screen in “Transformers.” While the brunette beauties may resemble one another it’s their shared penchant for gabbing that really bonds them.
Popcrunch.com is reporting Jolie has some new and somewhat harsh words for the outspoken Fox.
“Angie has been saying, ‘That woman acts like a fool’,” a source dished to US Weekly. “She needs to mind her Ps and Qs.”
Jolie should know. Before Brad, she was known for saying (“You're young, you're drunk, you're in bed, you have knives; s--- happens...”) and doing (wearing a vile of blood around her neck) some pretty off-the-wall things, and she knows first-hand how difficult it is to shake the stigmas that go along with them.
“I wish someone had pulled me aside when I was young and told me that. Now I’ll forever be known as a lesbian or a self-cutter, instead of what I worked so hard to become,” Jolie reportedly said.
Her parting advice to blabbermouth Megan:
“You have to put a muzzle on it!”

The high fashion runway is often home to outrageous styles (hello, harem pants!). More often than not, it takes a sophisticated knowledge of fashion or a professional stylist to know how to make these avant-garde looks work in real life. Just watch how these big runway trends can easily go bad!
Harem Pants Let’s start with harem pants. Some people might say this trend NEVER looks good. I found a pair at Urban Outfitters with a high waist and slim cut that don't look half bad if you what you're doing— pair them with a tight top, peg the bottom of the pants and wear the highest heels possible. But there are plenty of disastrous harem pants out there, like the one I sampled from Elizabeth and James, that even make celebrities look silly.
Strong Shoulders The 80’s was a big influence on the runway this year. Big shoulders are back and when they're right, I kind of like them. I found a lightly padded silk jersey from Zara. But I also found examples of the trend which gave you shoulders the size of watermelons. Not ok.
Leighton Meister who overkilled the strong shoulder trend by wearing them with patterned leggings. Our girl Rihanna was a repeat offender— with this comical take on a good trend gone bad.
Bunny Ears Hair accessories had resurgence this year. Gossip Girl reminded us that embellished headbands are inexpensive and fun. And then… designers had to go and take it to the next level. Bunny ears actually came down the runway at Louis Vuitton in Paris in the spring of this year. Madonna wore them. The Olsen Twins wore a Maison Martin Margiela version.
Crazy Shoes Shoes-as-art was a big trend this year. I found a pair of sexy purple platforms with an artful ribbon flourish that in my opinion you could decorate a shelf with as well as wear. Gorgeous. Then there's taking the concept to the extreme. Christian Dior made a pair of purple pythons with seven-inch heels. Other designers made shoes with hourglass heels, heels shaped like little guns. Some made shoes without any heels at all!
Torn Up Tights I love tights with intense patterns and colors. Betsey Johnson has some great ones out now and celebrities love to wear them on he red carpet. But this too can go haywire. Celebs like Lindsay Lohan Miley Cyrus and 90210's Shenea Grimes wore tights that were literally ripped to shreds with gaping holes that made them look as if they'd been through a street brawl. Unattractive and unflattering.
So remember, we are all for experimenting and expressing yourselves but. . .wear these trends with caution! That’s it for us today. Thanks for watching, you can find more at thethread.yahoo.com and we’ll be back soon from our Planet Hollywood studio in Times Square with a brand new episode.
Losing such a massive amount of money would be catastrophic to most people, but not Martha, according to People.com. She claims to have thought about others when it came to losing the loot—not herself.
"When you are prosecuted in such a way, and a great portion of wealth is dissipated, all I can think so much is what I could have done with all that, and for the good of mankind, and I hope I can continue," she says.
Martha is committed to moving forward and not dwelling on her costly past.
"How can I kick myself? There are other people to be kicked," she says, laughing. "Let's get on with the future."

TMZ.com is reporting Dunaway’s landlord is steamed. He claims she is $1,920.85 behind with her rent and this isn’t the first time. Vanderleigh Properties has filed a notice of non-payment in New York County Civil Court to get it back.
The last notice was posted on her door on October 23rd and it's still there, according to TMZ.
bodyNicole Richie has checked herself into a Los Angeles hospital, according to UsMagazine.com.
"Nicole has checked into Cedars Sinai where she is being treated for pneumonia,” her rep said. “She is doing well."
The mother of two had been feeling under the weather for some time, as evidenced by her absence from the Nov. 10 launch of her House of Harlow jewelry line at Bebe in Los Angeles.
While she waits for her health to improve, Richie was relieved of one headache on Monday when a judge granted her request for a three-year restraining order that prevents to paparazzi from coming near her or her children. She blames the men for causing her Beverly Hills car accident last month.
The wrestler known for his silken blonde locks and bronzed bod got into a serious scuffle with rival wrestler Ric Flair while touting their comeback tour, “Hulkamania: Let the Battle Begin,” at a press conference in Australia. Hogan left the event covered in blood and looking mighty disoriented.
The Daily Mail reports one photographer had his flash broken when Flair threw a table off the stage and into the press gathering before diving on photographers.
Apparently Hogan and Flair swapped insults about their failed love lives prior to the rumble. Hulk has gone through a very public divorce from his wife of 24 years and Ric tied the knot for the fourth time last week, according to the Brisith tabloid.
“Two guys are going to walk down that aisle (into the ring),” Flair said. “One will walk back. I've never, ever not made it back down that aisle.”
The authenticity of wrestling is a great American debate, but TMZ.com claims this smackdown was the real thing.
“We spoke with somebody in Hulk's camp who insists the entire thing was real ... the blood and the injuries,” the site reports.
This fight, real or not, comes on the heels of Hogan releasing a new book “My Life Outside the Ring” in which he opens up about nearly succumbing to suicidal thoughts.

bodyBrooke Shields wasn’t quiet about her struggle with post-partum depression after giving birth to her daughter Rowan, who is now 6-years-old, so it’s no surprise that the long-time actress is continuing to share her trying story.
People.com reports that on Monday, while receiving an advocacy award from the Hope for Depression Research Foundation in New York, Shields took her openness a step further and divulged some deeply personal information about growing up in an addictive household with an alcoholic mother and revealing her thoughts of taking her own life.
Conceiving her first child with husband Chris Henchy was hard enough, but what came next really rocked Shields’ world.
"I finally had a healthy beautiful baby girl and I couldn't look at her," she admitted. "I couldn't hold her and I couldn't sing to her and I couldn't smile at her ... All I wanted to do was disappear and die."
Brooke finally sought the help of a doctor and for a while she was taking prescription medicine. Some time later, she decided it wasn’t necessary and stopped following the doctor’s orders.
"That was the week I almost did not resist driving my car straight into a wall on the side of the freeway," she told the crowd. "My baby was in the back seat and that even pissed me off because I thought she's even ruining this for me.”
Shields was eventually diagnosed with a chemical imbalance and is now living the good life with her husband and two young daughters.
"If I had been diagnosed with any other disease, I would have run to get help,” she said. “I would have worn it like a badge. I didn't at first, but finally I did fight. I survived."

bodyBrat packer Anthony Michael Hall -- known to fans of '80s teen flicks as Rusty Griswold, Farmer Ted and Gary Wallace -- has been ordered to stay away from his ex-girlfriend.
According to the New York Post, Hall’s ex Diana Falzone claims that the actor kicked down her front door, attacked her and “bashed her head against the wall” last week. Falzone has obtained a temporary restraining order against Hall, who suffers from bipolar disorder.
The “Sixteen Candles” star has admitted to past altercations and alcohol-fueled violent outbursts.
"I sometimes got in fights and punched people in the face and got drunk," he said.
The New York Post also reports that Hall experienced a psychotic episode which landed him in a hospital while he was shooting his USA TV show "Dead Zone” in Vancouver.
In a none-too-subtle twist of irony, Hall is slated to guest star as a school bully in an upcoming episode of NBC sitcom, "Community." No word on whether his appearance in court will affect this new role.
bodyKen Ober, host of MTV’s "Remote Control" from 1987 to 1990, has passed away at the age of 52. Ober's agent, Mark Measures, confirmed the comedian's passing but could provide no information as to the cause of his death, according to MTV.com.
In addition to “Remote Control” the Boston native also had hosting gigs on “Make Me Laugh,” “Smush” and an obscure ESPN game show called “Perfect Match.”
According to the New York Times, Ober's manager, Lee Kernis, said the comedian was found dead on Sunday, a day after he complained to a friend about a headache and flu-like symptoms. Ober resided in Los Angeles.
“He was a terrific friend,” Kernis said. “I’m still shocked.”
Van Toffler, the president of MTV Networks, spoke of Ken’s talent on Monday.
“Ken was a great guy. His personality really brought ‘Remote Control’ to life, as well as a new style of programming for MTV,” Toffler told The New York Times. “We were really flying by the seat of our pants then, and Ken was the reason it worked.”
Every day viewers email The Thread questions and one topic that's dominating the conversation lately is basic skin care and cleansing. We rounded up the most-asked questions and invited dermatologist Dr. Jeannette Graf over to help us get the answers.
Tell me you haven't wondered these same things:
“What’s better to wash your face with, hot or cold water?” “How many times a week should you exfoliate?”
"How do you know the right cleanser for your skin type?"
When Dr. Graf came to the set, I didn't know where to start. There are routines we fall into when it comes to washing our face, but they're not always the right ones. The truth is, I wasn't sure if I'd simply been using products out of habit, as opposed to necessity. And how do you know what's really right for YOUR particular skin?
The good news is skin care has gotten so specific that there is a "right" match for your skin, as Dr. Graf explained. She talked a lot about how much science goes into today's products and how much of a difference a cleanser, a gentle exfoliator and a moisturizer can do for you.
I also asked her about a new product I'd started using from Olay— a mud-based cleanser called Olay Purifying Mud Lathering Cleanser. If I wear make-up for several days straight, I feel like I need something like this to really get my skin clean. The mud properties feel like they’re drawing out impurities and oils but the texture is silky, not crumbly. I feel like it's making a difference so far, but you should try it for yourself and tell me what YOU think.
That’s it for us today. Thanks for watching, you can find more at thethread.yahoo.com -- - we’ll be back soon from our Planet Hollywood studio in Times Square with a brand new episode.
bodyFarrah Fawcett’s will has finally surfaced and, in a shocking twist, it has been revealed that her on-again-off-again love Ryan O’Neal, who was by her side as her health faded and she eventually passed away from anal cancer on June 25, 2009, was snubbed.
According to RadarOnline.com, who has obtained a copy of the will, the “Charlie’s Angels” star left a whopping $4.5 million to her and O’Neal’s son Redmond, $100,000 to old flame Greg Lott and nothing to long-time love Ryan O'Neal.
Perhaps this news wouldn’t be so surprising if on June 22, 2009, The Los Angeles Times hadn’t reported that Ryan O'Neal said Fawcett had agreed to marry him as soon as she felt strong enough.
Farrah’s will was updated for the final time on August 9, 2007.
O’Neal wasn’t the only person close to Farrah who wasn’t mentioned in her will. Craig Nevius and Alana Hamilton, who worked on the filming of Fawcett’s documentary, were left out as well.

I have to admit, my newest guilty pleasure is Fox's "Glee." This new comedy follows a high-spirited teacher who tries to save a high school's Glee Club. In doing so, he brings to light the talent and potential of these aspiring singers. bodyHungarian socialite Zsa Zsa Gabor is no stranger to the law.
The 92-year-old wife of Frédéric Prinz von Anhalt was accused of slapping the face of a Beverly Hills police officer back in 1989. She was found guilty and sentenced to three days in the El Segundo jail. The judge also required her to pay $13,000 in court costs.
Now, 20 years later, the Detroit News Tax Watchdog reports she owes more than $118,000 in delinquent federal taxes, prompting a lien to be filed against her last month, on Oct. 5.
Looking back, $13,000 probably seems like nothing to Gabor who’s reportedly been dodging Uncle Sam for almost nine times that amount and lost as much as $10 million in the Bernie Madoff Ponzi scheme, according to her attorney.

bodyJessica Simpson was crushed when Tony Romo sacked her back in July on the eve of her 29th birthday. She tweeted about the heartbreak then and now Jess has taken to her Twitter page again to send some kind words to her ex and his Cowboys.
Extra is reporting that Jess not only watched Dallas beat Philadelphia on Sunday, she chimed in with her own commentary on Monday.
"Can't forget the Cowboys! Great game yesterday," she posted on Twitter.
"My pink jersey was nowhere in sight ; )" Simpson added. "I was screaming in my parents' TV in Dallas gear though : )"
Jess attended several Cowboys games while dating Romo and, well, she wasn’t welcomed with the Southern hospitality you’d expect. Simpson was slapped with the jinx label after her beau struggled to play well while she was sporting a jersey with his No. 9 on her back.

bodySince the passing of 16-year-old Jett Travolta last January the once very public Travolta family has shunned the spotlight and turned to religion and intensive therapy to help deal with its immense loss.
In his first interview since Jett's passing, Travolta says he and his family—wife Kelly Preston and daughter Ella Bleu—are still nursing their emotional wounds.
"We've been working very hard every day as a family to heal," he told USA Today. "We have our own way of doing it, and it has been helping."
The way in which the family has been trying to move on has been a mélange of support from family, friends and fans, combined with spiritual counseling. John and Kelly have decided to open up about their coping mechanisms and support systems just a few weeks before their 9-year-old daughter will appear in the movie “Old Dogs” on Nov. 25. John and Kelly are both in the film, too.
"We decided it was OK to come out and promote, to introduce her to the world and to give her a beautiful future in film," Travolta said during an interview with the cast of the film.
John wasn’t the only one who shared thanks for those who have continued to help his family through the healing process. Preston echoed his thankfulness of family and friends.
“Being with people who are important to you, being with people that you love, I think that's what has primarily helped us the most,” Preston says. “Sometimes, being alone, too."
bodySome New York residents are steamed over Eva Mendes’ racy Calvin Klein billboard that spans an entire block in the heart of SoHo, reports the New York Daily News.
The sultry ad is one of a many of Calvin Klein ads that have caused a stir in the neighborhood. Some Manhattanites have even gone so far as to compare the black and white underwear ad to "pornography".
"Some of us don't want to expose our kids to something like this,” said Carl Wilson, 55, an MTA worker from Queens. “It's borderline pornography.”
This isn’t Mendes' first controversial advertisement with the company either. A TV commercial the two parties collaborated on was banned from American airwaves last year after censors ruled it was too obscene.
If you’re in the area, be sure to tack some extra time to your trip. Traffic is sure to be slow-moving around Houston and Lafayette Streets.

bodyJennifer Lopez has filed a mega-million-dollar lawsuit against her ex-husband, according to TMZ.com.
Which ex, you ask? Not Chris Judd, the backup dancer she married in 2001 for less than a year. And, no, she and Ben Affleck never made it down the aisle. Lopez is suing Ojani Noa, the man who she wed in 1997 (and divorced in 1998) for $10 million over a tell-all movie he’s attempting to release.
Lopez claims Noa’s movie “How I Married Jennifer Lopez: The JLo and Ojani Noa Story" violates a confidentially agreement they signed a few years ago. Noa sued her for firing him as the manager of her Pasadena restaurant Madre's in October 2002, after which she had the agreement drafted.
In addition to the revealing movie, Lopez claims that her ex is seeking to release "11+ hours of previously unseen home video footage" that depicts her "in a revealing lack of clothing, and in sexual situations, especially in the hotel room from (her and Noa's) honeymoon."
According to J. Lo, this is also a violation of their agreement.
All in all, Lopez is suing Noa for breach of contract and invading her privacy and expects a minimum of $10 million in compensation. The icing on J. Lo’s cake would be if a judge ordered Noa to halt all progress on the movie and personal footage.
What Do You Think?

Whether it’s graduating, moving out, getting married or becoming a mom— when we reach a milestone in life, we are undeniably transformed. We'll never be quite the same once we're on the other side. See how some of our favorite stars have changed as they've hit major milestones of their own recently.
Taylor Swift is a singing superstar who travels all over the world. But recently, Taylor's reached a new level of maturity—she just told Oprah that she’s taking a step towards independence by moving out of her parent’s house and getting her own place. It’s no accident that she’s dressing more sophisticated at the same time. We’re loving her new grown-up style.
Another star making a life changing transition is baby-faced Emma Watson. This fall Emma headed to Brown University to be a part of the class of 2013. She says she just wants to be a "regular freshman". That might be a little difficult, considering she also happens to be the new fresh face of Burberry—a far cry from her well-worn Hogwarts uniform.
Pregnancy is definitely a transformative milestone. Remember Nicole Richie's scandalous escapades with best-buddy Paris a few years ago? When Nicole became “mom” to Harlow in January 2008 she said good-bye to her club-hopping days and questionable fashion choices. She’s even designing a line of sophisticated and tasteful maternity clothes. Supermodel Gisele barely let a week go by in between announcing she was pregnant and becoming a UN Environmental Ambassador. Hey, it worked for Angelina, right?
Facing adversity and conquering it can be a cleansing milestone, too. Anne Hathaway gracefully faced the public eye after an embarrassing split from a boyfriend who turned out to be a con artist. Fergie spoke to the Times of London about how, after a difficult struggle with drugs, she kicked her bad habits and settled down with husband Josh Duhamel.
Marriage milestones certainly have a way of setting a person on a new course. Just think how many brides-to-be drop weight and take care of themselves in preparation for their big day, sometimes for the first time in their lives. And speaking of brides-to-be. . . we recently caught up with the host of We TV’s "My Fair Wedding", David Tutera, to ask him for his top three wedding tips. Check out the episode to see what he says. And you can see more of David Sundays on We at 10pm.

“Arsenio reached out to Paula because he thought she needed a friend to talk to, someone she could relate to,” the source reveals in the Nov. 16 issue of the tabloid. “Arsenio knows what it’s like to leave a hit TV show.”

bodyAs a star in Hollywood you’re taxed with playing a range of believable characters, but more and more it seems just as vital, if not more, to look perfect doing it. And let’s face it, the older you get, the less toned, sharp and striking your features become. And it’s not just Hollywood’s starlets who are feeling the pressure.
This week, two A-list guys are chiming in with very different opinions of plastic surgery.
Macho man Bruce Willis spoke with Fox 411 about how he prefers to let nature take its course.
"Cosmetic stuff, I am not a fan of it and I know a lot of people are,” he says.
We’re always hearing about the ladies of Hollywood doing under the knife to perk up their bust line or slim down their nose, but Bruce sheds some light on the male fascination with the cosmetic procedures.
"You would be surprised there are a lot of male actors that think about it just as much as women do,” he says. “I don't think about it very often; I don't really care."
One of the actors who has pondered cosmetic enhancement is “30 Rock” star Alec Baldwin. He praises his own posterior (seriously), but admits that going under the knife for other maintenance isn’t at all out of the question.
"I have a great ass, if I may say so," Alec tells Entertainment Weekly. "That's a part of my body that needs no surgical enhancement or rearranging."
He goes on to say, “I intend to do something." Adding, "I probably will.”
bodyMarie Osmond is being accused of hoarding her loot—including the $125,000 a night she makes for her Vegas show with brother Donny—instead of sharing what she contractually owes to the man who jumpstarted her fading career.
According to TMZ.com, Karl Engemann, Marie’s former manager, and his lawyer Larry Stein don’t think the entertainer is playing fair. Stein paints a picture of an uber-greedy celebrity in this statement issued to TMZ:
"Shamefully, Ms. Osmond has fired Mr. Engemann 18 months into a 5 year written contract and seeks to enjoy the fruits of his labors without compensating him for his work."
Rue McClanahan may have pals and confidants, but her heart is not being true to her.
The actress who played feisty Blanche Devereaux on the long-running sitcom, “The Golden Girls,” has been forced to pull out of her own tribute in San Francisco after being hospitalized this week for heart bypass surgery, according to SFGate.com.
"Trust me, I'd rather be in San Francisco having fun and being adored by all of you" than in a New York hospital, McClanahan said in a statement.
PinkPaper.com has some additional scoop from the ailing 74-year-old:
"Unfortunately, my doctor has laid down the law,” she admits. “And I'm currently having some maintenance on the old ticker."
bodyFergie and Josh Duhamel have avoided the scandal and rumors that plague most Hollywood couples … until now.
The new issue of People reports that after less than a year of marriage the singer and her actor beau are fending off rumors that he has been unfaithful.
Duhamel reportedly cheated on his wife last month with a stripper named Nicole Forrester. It’s said that the single mom from Atlanta and Fergie’s hubby met while he filming a new romantic comedy, “Life As We Know It.”
Forrester tells People her first encounter with the star was at Tattletales, the strip club where she works.
“We had a few cocktails and I did one dance,” she says.
But according to Forrester, their contact didn’t end there. She goes on to say that Duhamel contacted her a few days later to arrange a meeting at the St. Regis hotel in Atlanta. And before the story of their fling broke he allegedly got in touch with her again.
“He said, ‘I don’t know how this happened,’ and he was telling me he loved his wife,” she tells People.
Duhamel’s rep immediately denied the allegation saying: “This is not the first, nor will it be the last, time that a stripper was paid a large amount of money to sell a false story about a celebrity. This story is absolutely ridiculous.”
Tattletales’ general manager, Tom Hudson, confirms that Forrester and Duhamel had a run-in, but says there was nothing more. He tells People, they “met here, but that’s about it.”
RadarOnline.com has reported that Forrester passed a polygraph when giving her version of the story.
A music industry source who knows both Fergie and Josh well says in recent years the couple “have both put career very high, and often before each other,” but that doesn’t mean The Dutchess doesn’t feel the sting of the scandal.
“She’s certainly disappointed with all the rumors about cheating,” the source adds. “It hurts.”
The scandalous attention comes just as Fergie is being thrust into the spotlight as the sexy songstress graces the December cover of Cosmopolitan magazine in advance of her appearance in the upcoming film, “Nine.” In the issue Fergie opens up about her image.
"You know, in Italy, Catholic boys are raised to believe that there are two types of women: the Madonna and the whore,” she explains. “And me? I'm both."
Looks like her and her hubby might have that in common.
