41-14 OSU 68 total yards lowest ever in a championship game! Impressive indeed!

Don't know where you get your skewed numbers. Here is what I found at http://www.secsportsfan.com/top-college-football-bowl-conference.html Thanks for maaking me look!

So, here is the bowl game record (through 2006-2007) of the major college football conferences. The first number is total bowl games. The second is wins; third is losses; fourth is ties; fifth is bowl game win percentage.

Bowls Wins Losses Ties Win %
           SEC           352      177     162    13     .522

           Big 12          304      144      157     4     . 480

           ACC             268      141      122      5     .536

            Big Ten         226     111      112      3      .498

             Pac-10         214     108      100       6     .519

            Big East         100      46        52        2      .470

Obviously, you can debate who has the "best all-time college football bowl record" as the SEC has the most wins; but the ACC has the highest winning percentage.

I think we all can waste a bunch of time compiling silly numbers.....or just accept these two numbers.

41-14

I have so much fun doing that!

Folks in Big Ten country think the SEC's gotten a little uppity. So what if Michigan lost to Appalachian State? Remember the Maine (upset of Mississippi State)?

A blog called Buckeye Planet compares the Big Ten and SEC head to head. It's good stuff, and the result is there's barely an iota of difference between the two conferences:

We have all heard the talk since last year about the SEC dominance and tsuns recent egg laying has certainly made it worse. I thought I'd throw some stuff out there so anyone can reference it during their next conversation with an SEC dominace believer.

Since the inception of the BCS system in 1998 B10 vs SEC head to headOverall: SEC 17 B10 16
SEC Home team: SEC 4 B10 O
B10 Home team: B10 3 SEC 2
Bowl Games: B10 13 SEC 11
# of winning Bowl seasons: B10 5 SEC 2 (2 ties)
Total combined scores of all Bowl games: 609-623
When B10 is higher ranked team: 6-6
When SEC is higher ranked team: B10 5 SEC 4
When both unranked or same rank: B10 2 SEC 1:

That's merely a glimpse. For more, go to Buckeye Planet.

By the way there are a bunch of things you left out of that from the past two years.
From the past two years:
-Michigan got waxed on national tv vs usc when big ten fans wanted them to go to the championship.
-Ohio State got waxed on national tv by flordia when people said they were unstoppable.
-Michigan loss to a double A team, and then got kicked in the rear by orgeon when they were said to be the winners of the big ten conferance this year.
-A big ten team that is competing in the first ever loser bowl vs notre dame.
-And kirk heinstriek said last week that he thinks the big ten is as low as the fifth best conferance due to these things.
- But you guys still got tom and penn state so you do have some hope in the big ten.

SEC
Pac 10 looking better
Big 12 or 10 - not sure
Big East
ACC

how's that?

You left out a few things from the past week.
UT can not hold up against U Cal
Auburn can not hold up against anyone
Geogia can't hold up against SCU
Those were all ranked teams in the SEC.
I said before the season began that Michigan was  no better then fourth in the Big Ten. After seeing them yesterday, if Carr remains, they may not even be that high.
Michigan has four big stars and a lot of mediocrity around them.
You talk about two teams in the Big Ten.
Can we talk about the accomplisments last year of two teams in the SEC? Lets pick UT and Arkansas. Weren't they both ranked high in the early part of the season? What conference did they play in the bowl games?

Aw come on young man! You know I love your posts but now really what does it say that Georgia got knocked off by another SEC team? South Cackalacka is for real this year.

You say Ut cant hold up aganist cal: Lets see they beat us by like 10 points at cals stadium, when we smoked them last year so holding up is a little questionable there.
You got me on auburn but upsets happen as long as you dont lose to a d2 school about the size of a high school.
south carolina beating georgia has nothing to do with anything.
You say michigan was no better then fourth, but everyone else had them to win the big ten this year, hate that for you.
ut and arckansaw lost to big ten but it dosent matter because the big ten went like 3 and 6 that year in there bowl games. There is a word for that oh ya overated.

UT,
It's OK. We are kind of used to you embarrassing the SEC when you play out of conference. Penn State in your bowl, Cal in your opener. Thanks a bunch!

It's great to be a Florida Gator, the ONLY Back-to-Back-to-Back National champions........EVER
