Being and ectomorph isn't easy. The key to weight gain is to do everything BIG! You have to eat big, and lift big to get big! 1. Count your calories you eat in a normal day and weigh yourself. 2. Start the day ofter you counted calories, and eat 500 more then you normaly do. If you normally eat 2000 a day, make it 2500. Instead of eating 3 big meals a day, spread it out over 5-6 meals a day. 3. Get yer arse to the gym and lift! Hire a trainer so you're doing it right. Tell them what your plan is. 4. At the end of that week, weigh yourself. You'll notice a change in one week. 1-2 lbs a week is a healthy weight gain 5.At some point, you will stop seeing a weight gain. At this point, you will have to eat even more. So, when you stop gaining for at least 2 weeks, it means it is time to start eating an extra 250 calories a day. Every time you see you haven't gained weight for at least 2 weeks, add an extra 250 calories. 6. Stay away from bad fat! Even though weight gain is your goal, you don't want to be gaining fat and eating junk. Get rid of the chips and candy. No more fast food, nothing fried. Stick to high protein, low (saturated) fat foods like fish (and fish oil supplements), chicken breast, turkey, lean meats, rice, pasta, fruits and vegetables, nuts, flax seed oil, etc. 7. Get at least 8 hours of sleep a night. 8. Drink plenty of water! Drnk a 1/2 a gallon a day. Yes that's a lot, but it's that water that will give you the energy you need to gain weight.
