Hi folks, my self I think that dragons were left overs from the dinasour days. they say that there is always some kernal of truth to myths, I think also that it is possible that it could have been a hybrid, or that everyone sitting around the campfire was more than a little toasted when they made up the story, or there were komodo dragons around, so this is the list of possibilities tell me what your possibilities could be for dragons. susanwhitestar

hi fantasia, Especially t-rex or the ones that flew, I mean man the movie juraisic park blew my mind, can you imagine troting along on your knightly horse and bam here is this giant something ready to swallow you and your horse, I mean I would have a heartattack If it was a kamodo dragon they bite their victums and the poison in their mouth kills them. So all they have to do is wait for them to fall. Or there is a really good bootlegger back then perhaps absynthe that stuff is harsh and can cause halucinations. Or if their rye bread went bad you know it turns into a halucagin. I guess we will never really know. susanwhitestar.

Hi W-W-C-S, you are so right! The chinese ground the powder of fossils so that they do not have much to work with. I would love to find more on the spartans. If I were from a more wealthy family as a young girl I would have taken archeology. Weird huh? It just intriques me the possibilitys of what can be found in the earth. susanwhitestar

I don't know if I agree 100% with the dinosaur theory, however, I firmly believe that dragons did exist. Granted, it is plausible that they have evolved in to a more familiar species, but more importantly, look at the evidence - dragons have been a part of cultures across the globe, long before the advent of any modern communication. They existed in European culture, as well as Chinese, and even in American Indian, Mayan, and Aztec cultures. How is it that so many cultures across the globe and time could have ideologies, beliefs, or worship the same creature when they had no way to communicate with each other?! I know some would argue that there is no proof, no remains have ever been found, etc, etc. But how often do we discover new species, living or extinct? Almost daily. Just because we haven't found proof yet doesn't mean that we won't. We as a species have barely scratched the surface on the exploration of this planet. Beneath our feet lies the remains of what was, and yet, we don't know half of it. This planet is over a billion years old, and we are relatively new here by that standard. I believe it is just a matter of time until we find the proof of their existance in the dust of ages past.

hello, yes, that theory is a sound one also, when I was a child we found lava rock in our back yard, and they said that was impossible, yet they have now dated the little peedee river find of megladon at the same date as Europe, so much for the new world. This one theory Malakai, sounds good too. susanwhitestar

hi oad, my sons totem animal is the dragon, which means to face your fears. He has tattoos even though he is in the army in afghanistan. But I find it curious the many storys that people have told around the world about dinosaurs, don't you think this is a mystery? susanwhitestar
