So, in the spirit of Halloween, the question has to be asked... Given the choice, would you prefer to become a vampire or a werewolf? Let's weigh your options... As a vampire, you must live with your curse every day of your existence. Garlic, while it may not kill you, makes you violently ill, and silver is highly poisonous to you. Of course, standard methods of killing a vampire apply, those being sunlight, a stake through the heart, beheading, or fire. However, you have far superior strength, agility, speed, stamina, and senses to normal humans, as well as the ability to heal any injuries with incredible speed. You are impervious to almost all forms of disease, expect for leprosy. As a vampire, you can enthrall humans with irresistible charisma, making 'the hunt' that much easier. Also, any creature that you feed from and do not drain completely of blood becomes enthralled to you, becoming your slave. You have the ability to create another such as yourself, but in order to do so, you must drain them to the brink of death, and then must give some of yourself for them to survive. For the most part, you still hold sway over your own body, and can control yourself unless your heightened sense of smell catches the odor of fresh blood, or if it is the of the Blood Moon (which only happens once a year), in which case, your primal instincts become uncontrollable and you spiral in to a feeding frenzy. As a werewolf, your curse only manifests itself for three consecutive nights every 28 days. While transformed, you are impervious to almost all forms of attack, but silver is lethal. In our modern day of weaponry, the silver bullet is your biggest fear, and most common death. However, when you are not transformed, you are susceptible to all forms of attack, just as a regular human is, but heal rapidly from any injuries sustained. You also have a heightened sense of smell and hearing. When the transformation happens, you lose all control to the beast residing within you, and do not make any distinction between friend and foe. Your transformation will begin as soon as the full moon rises fully above the horizon, whether you gaze upon it or not. Your body will go through a very rapid, agonizing series of changes, making you a creature that can only be explained as half man, half wolf, and sheer terror. While transformed, you have increased strength, speed, agility, and stamina, but absolutely no control over your body and your whole existence revolves around the hunt and the desire to feed. Any creature that you bite or scratch, but do not kill, will burden the same curse as you, regardless of what it is. You will revert back to your human form as soon as the first rays of dawn begin to appear in the sky. When consciousness returns, you have no recollection of the events that took place during your transformation. Now you have an understanding of the pros and cons of both. Which side do you choose?

I would have to go with Werewolf..... I have children so not aging and them passing while I was still unchanged is unthinkable. Also, to have to live without the SUN not my cup of tea. Being able to feed on animals and not people definite Pro........ Hiding out for three nights out of 28 is far better than all 365 days.
