This is a personal list of my favorites. Most of which are more modern action heroes.

10. Daniel Craig (Layercake, Casino Royale)

9. Edward Norton (Fight Club, The Score, Italian Job)

8. Wesley Snipes (Blade series, U. S. Marshalls)

7. Matt Damon (Bourne Series, The Departed)

6. Danny Glover (Lethal Weapon series, Predator 2)

5. Mel Gibson (Mad Max, Lethal Weapon series)

4. Bruce Willis (Die Hard, Fifth Element, Pulp Fiction)

3. Harrison Ford (Indiana Jones, Star Wars, Fugitive, Blade Runner)

2. Sylvester Stallone (Rocky, Rambo series just to name a few)

1. Ahnold (Terminator series, Predator, every other movie has has been in)

Picks 1-5 should be on everybody's list, and the top 2 should be in everybody's top 3. 7-10 haven't been in as many action movies, and Damon has done a wide variety of movies, but I think all have done great jobs in the action movies they have been in. Kurt Russell I haven't really seen enough of his stuff, and I the rock is just a wrestler tossed into movies that are usually action/comedies. Keanu Reaves was only good b/c of the special affects in his movie.

Okay, I read the list on Fandango and, well, I am a bit puzzled........ Kurt Russell??? Number 4??? Hmmm, maybe I am missing something, but I see the list a little bit different.

10. Sean Connery (Bond series, the Rock, The Hunt for Red October)

9. Keanu Reeves (Matrix series, Point Break, Speed, Johnny Mnemonic, The Devil's Advocate)

8. John Travolta (Broken Arrow, Face off, Pulp Fiction, Swordfish)
7. Mel Gibson (Lethal Weapon series, Mad Max series, Payback, Ransom)

6. Bruce Lee (Fist of Fury, Enter the Dragon, Fury of the Dragon, Game of Death)

5. Nicholas Cage (The Rock, Gone in 60 Seconds, Face Off, Kiss of Death, Con Air, Ghost Rider)

4. Al Pacino (Godfather series, Serpico, The Devil's Advocate, Dog Day Afternoon, Heat, Donnie Brasco)

Honorable mentions to: Steven Seagal, Jackie Chan, Robert DeNiro, Uma Thurman, and Sigourney Weaver.

But Kurt Russell?? Sorry, I just can't seem to get past that one.

1. Arnold Schwartzenegger - C'mon! When you think action, he's the Last Action hero! He was the biggest for about 12 years.

2. Clint Eastwood - In my opinion, though he rarely ran, he kicked the best butt, and nobody could match the squint. An action icon.

3. Bruce Willis - Brought in the faster-paced action with the Die hard movies, and showed that everyman can do it.

4. Tom Cruise - every single action movie this dude did rocked. No argument. He is intense and when he wants something he gets it!

5. Keanu Reaves - From Point Break to Matrix, he had the look and the moves. (whoa!)

6. Jackie Chan - Revolutionized the martial arts movie, and brought humor with it - did own stunts!

7. Will Smith - again, every action movie he made he was great in it. And as a bonus, extremely likeable!

8. Steven Segal - Above the Law is one of the best cop movies, and you just don't mess with this guy (or get in his way)

9. Kurt Russell - Kurt + John Carpenter = great fun. Big Trouble in Little China was his best!

10. Jet Li - Opened my eyes in Leathal Weapon 4 - wow! Made a few other great ones since. Again, a new level of martial arts.

.....and what about the women?!!!?

1. Sigourney Weaver - not many action movies, but changed the woman's role in an action flick with the Alien movies.

2. Milla Jovavich - Fifth Element and the Resident Evil movies - she fit so well in the action, and looks great too!

I honestly can't think of any more women action figures! What the.....?

I agree it's hard to see Kurt on an "All Time Top 10" list in this genre. He's inarguably had some decent sci-fi action flicks such as the "Escape From..." films, the original "Stargate" movie, and "The Thing", as well as some comedic ones like "Big Trouble in Little China" and "Tango and Cash" with Stallone. Also, "Tombstone" is one of the more popular recent western action films. But when people mention "action movie stars" his name doesn't automatically pop up for some reason. Maybe it's just because over the course of a career that started as a child actor and contains a fairly eclectic sampling of genres he doesn't seem to rank with the guys more closely associated with the idea of an "action movie".
