You can bash if you want to but I am very serious in this question. Do you honestly believe that we can insure more people while eliminating pre conditions and no exclusions..ever and still be able to reduce costs, keep it from increasing the deficit or raising taxes heavily on all of us and not have to ration care? If you don't believe it then why do you still support it?
Ok I lied..two questions.

Need a clarification first.  Which one of the numerous bills is "Obama's healthcare reform"?

Bingo. Look, I'll be crystal clear; imo single payer is the only logical way to go. Anything less is rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic...a complete waste of time. 65% of Americans want a public option, yet it's off the table. So much for giving the people what they want. Who do you think will pay for that next November? Two guesses, first one doen't count. But in the end, it matters little; the one's taking it in the shorts yet again are the American people. Same as it ever was.

Take your pick vet..combine them, split them up..whatever. By now we all know what the basic bill will consist of. My question still stands and can be answered if you want to be honest about it.

A good question if you ask me Maritz159.

If something sounds too good to be true, it probably isn't.

I'd really like to think I knew what the final bill (basic bill?) will be.  In fact, I am not sure there will be a final bill that passes this year.  It is still far off.

We have heard President Obama talk many times conceptuallly, but it is always at a very high level.  I don't see all his concepts embodied in any one of the bills....a little here, a little there.

So what is your opinion of the major pieces of Obama's healthcare reform....not necessarily what he describes conceptually, but what you think he wants if it were put in writing?
Are you calling the "basic bill" the Baucus bill?  or Obama's concept?

So your saying they are voting on a bill that does not exist?

Hi Maritz:

It's not complicated, it's simple math.  2+2=4 minus 1trillion=????  Where's the $$$ coming from.....also not complicated.  From you, me and everyone else in this country.  Oh, maybe not, I am sure our leaders will make sure they aren't adversely affected.

Please forgive me if I sound cynical today.

Darkwing:  Actually that is technically correct.  At this point in time the final "bill" as will be presented to the country (not to vote on....we are not given that opportunity) does not exist.  The Baucus "bill" will be merged with whatever the House comes up with.  I don't think anyone really knows what the final outcome will be.
