I know it doesn't really matter but it does show how stupid the average American is, as if we need more examples.

No, if other countries/subs were shooting off ANY types of missiles at the US they would be detected by SATELLITES before ANYTHING in Alaska would pick them up.
I guess there's NO missile threat that would come through Alaskan airspace first, is there?
So if China was going to attack LA or Russia was going to attack New York ALASKA wouldn't be the first place that would know.
Would it?

Umm. That would be NONE.
Try getting up in the 21st century with us. Our defensive systems for missiles and submarines comes from SATELLITES that are not located in Alaska. Hawaii and Long Island, New York would be a better location than Alaska. But then Sarah Palin would lose all those tax dollars from Illinois and New Hampshire.
